Gear Upgrades & You!

Hey, let’s talk about gear!
The Basics
Upgrading in general
Get buff at the item lab! Use items to buff your weapons and armor!
| Material | Buffness |
|---|---|
| Gold Primm Sword II | +100,900 exp |
| Gold Primm Armor II | +100,900 exp |
| Endymio | +100,000 exp |
Endymios are the best and most convenient way to enhance items, mostly because you can get a bunch in Nameless City, and they also stack up to 999, saving you inventory space. You can trade in 1 Gold Primm Sword II or 1 Gold Primm Armor II at Item Recycle at the Item Trader for 1 Endymio. You’ll lose 900 exp each, but you’ll save that inventory!
12-star weapons will be coming soon…
Note: I only know what I’m doing like 25% of the time. I cannot be held responsible for any injuries incurred on the battlefield. Use the following advice at your own risk!
Augments
More coming soon…
EX Augments & Combos
EX augments are acquired by transferring them off of Eredim weapons to your preferred weapon. They can only be transferred together in threes! Sorry, no transferring single EXes!
Still, this allows you to customize your weapon in a bunch of different ways. All current EX Augments come with a built-in +4.5% potency and +2% Potency floor increase regardless of type.
First, here’s what all those weird letters mean on each augment, because it’s confusing and I want to remember. They basically just give you slight bonuses to different things, with X being a decent all-rounder:
| Letter | Effect |
|---|---|
| H | +25 HP |
| D | Damage Resistance +1% |
| P | +3 PP |
| R | All Down Resistance +5% |
| X | +15 HP, +2 PP |
Here are a few popular combos you might want to look out for (or maybe sell on the market ohohoho):
Burning For You
| EX Augment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Shortage PP Burn Up | Burn occurs when 100 PP consumed, During Burn Natural PP Recovery Speed +30%. Burn Potency Decrease nullified |
| Hysterical Strength | During Ailment Potency +2%, Offensive PP Recovery +10%, Damage Resistance +10%. |
| Endure Pain PB Boost | Photon Blast Gauge +2% on HP Decrease (10 second cooldown) |
Tactics: Use 100 PP to set yourself on fire, which will trigger Hysterical Strength’s +2% potency while you have an ailment. Meanwhile, as you take damage from your self-inflicted fire, you’ll also gain +2% to your Photon Blast Gauge.
Balanced Fire
| EX Augment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Shortage PP Burn Up | Burn occurs when 100 PP consumed, During Burn Natural PP Recovery Speed +30%. Burn Potency Decrease nullified |
| Hysterical Strength | During Ailment Potency +2%, Offensive PP Recovery +10%, Damage Resistance +10%. |
| Shortage HP Starling | When HP at 50% or lower: Potency +1.5%, Damage Resistance +30%. |
Tactics: Similar to the above, but instead of adding to your Photon Blaste Gauge, you’ll instead gain +1.5% potency and +30% Damage Resistance when your HP falls to 50% or lower. It’s a balancing act!
Get Hit To Win!
| EX Augment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Risky Stance | 30% chance to recover 10 PP when hit by attack, 5 secs cooldown/10% chance of 1 damage to yourself, 10 secs cooldown |
| Endure Pain PB Boost | Photon Blast Gauge +2% on HP Decrease (10 second cooldown) |
| Patient Defence | Damage Resistance +15% on HP Decrease, up to +25% max / Bonus resets if no damage taken after 30 seconds. |
Tactics: When you take damage, you’ll have a 30% chance to recover 10 PP every 10 seconds. Taking damage will also increase you Photon Blast Gauge +2%, and boost your Damage Resistance +15%, up to a max of +25%. Basically, get hit and get bonuses!
Keep Babbit Alive
| EX Augment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Tri-Shield H | HP +25, Generate 3 shields that negates enemy damage (120 sec. cooldown after all shields are lost) |
| Signa Shielding H | +25 HP, Damage Resistance +20% once per use of Restasigne or Reversasigne. Can Use Restasigne even with max HP |
| Fortune Signe R | All Down Resistance +5%, 20% chance of Restasigne or Reversasigne won’t be consumed when used. Effect starts 10 sec. after equipped |
Tactics: As a Bouncer, Tri-Shield helps me get off my gigantic Jet Intensity combo on downed enemies much more easily, as I don’t have to worry about getting interrupted. Meanwhile, being able to potentially use a Restasigne for free while also gaining +20% Damage Resistance from it is just NICE! This isn’t an optimal build but I like it! (You might be thinking, well why not Tough Mind so I won’t die when I hit 1 hp? Because I can only have three and I can’t fit it in there, obviously!)
Fixas
- Adding a preset skill! Preset skills are called Fixas. [Here’s(https://nekobot.io/pso2/global/ngs/resources/preset-skills)] what they all do. When you get a preset skill on a weapon, it’s random, but the best one seems to be Fixa Attack, which increases potency up to +9%. What does THAT mean? I don’t know! It’s how hard you hit, I think.
Getting one preset skill uses one weapon of the same type (so one Exelio weapon as a material for a skill on your chosen Exelio weapon). If you don’t like the one you get randomly, you can keep using weapons as material until you randomly get the one you want. You can also use an item called Add Preset Skills Lv. 1 to add a random Preset Skill to a weapon without using any materials. You can usually get these from Limited Time Quests. I have 45 in my storage!
-
Enhance preset skills! After you have the Fixa you want, you can level it up to Lvl 5 by doing the same thing you did to add a preset skill. You just use weapons of the same type as material, as before, with the same or higher Fixa level. So a Level 1 Fixa item is used to upgrade another Level 1 Fixa item to Level 2, and so on. The upgrade chance is like 10%. You WILL cry. You can use boosters to boost success, though.
-
Transferring preset skills! If you have two of the same weapon and of the same type, you can transfer a Preset Skill from one to the other. So if you wear an upgraded pair of Exelio Boots and happen to find a pair of Exelio Boots with Level 5 Fixa Attack or something, you can transfer that Level 5 Fixa onto your upgraded boots, etc. It’s the lucky way to do things!
Here’s video that covers Fixa upgrades!
